On today's show:

  • Karen DeWitt, Capitol bureau correspondent for New York State Public Radio, talks about the legislature's response to the accusations against Gov. Cuomo and how the controversy might affect this year's budget process, one month away from the April 1 state budget deadline.
  • A ProPublica investigation finds that "some vaccine programs have been designed with inherent barriers that disadvantage many people who are most at risk of dying from the disease." Caroline Chen, health care reporter for ProPublica, explains.
  • The Brian Lehrer Show and The Greene Space have launched a new series about the business side of the prison industry. Each week we examine one aspect of the $80 billion dollar prison industrial complex, and ask: who profits when people get put away? This week we talk with Bianca Tylek, Worth Rises’s executive director, about programs that require incarcerated people to work for little or no pay, and with U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley (D OR) about his "Abolition Amendment" which would seek to close the "slavery loophole" in the 13th amendment.
  • A new survey from Gallup found that 1 in 6 adults in Generation Z identify as LGBT. Gen Z listeners call in to talk about gender and sexuality.

Transcripts are posted to the individual segment pages as soon as they are available.
